Phelippe Enquin
Philippe Enquin was born in Buenos Aires in 1935.
He and his wife Gladys Aslan (who died in 2012) moved to France in 1962.
He has spent his entire career as a strategy and management consultant, mainly as co-founder of MID (Marketing, Innovation and Development).
At the end of his professional career, Enquin, who has two children and five grandchildren, began to realize that he belonged to the Jewish people.
This realization, along with the discovery of hundreds of letters and photos, led him to compile the book "Mots croisés, trois générations de Juifs argentins", published in Argentina and France (La Cause des Livres, 2014), which tells the fascinating story of these Russian-born migrants who settled in Argentina, and enabled him to reveal his three identities: Felipe "the Argentine", Philippe "the French" and Frumkin "the Jew".
Felipe, the Argentinian, the teenager who discovers love, passion, nature and the excitement of student revolts.
Philippe, the Frenchman, the rational, the manager and entrepreneur, who discovers the breadth of French culture.
Frumkin, the Jew, who made him aware of his belonging to the Jewish people, of the richness of its history, of the depth of its Jewish thought, and who came to disturb the relative calm reigning between the other two facets.
In recent years, photography has become her main activity. In January 2018 Galerie Argentine hosts his first exhibition "Rencontres éphémères". In October of the same year, he takes part in the "Mémoires libres : Résistances" exhibition at Guyancourt town hall. In November 2018 he publishes "Instants d'humanité" (Lonely Star Éditions), a beautiful book of portraits, reflecting his travels in different continents.
With "De mon balcon", he has undoubtedly found his true calling... that of "Chronicle Photographer!"
