I live on the second floor with balcony of a building on the corner of a boulevard and two streets.
This allows me to see many of my neighbors.
On sunny days, some people take the opportunity to sit out on the balcony.
While others practice a mode of communication adapted to the time of confinement.
But it was during the moving 8 p.m. ritual tribute to the nursing staff that contact was made through gestures and glances, with enthusiastic gestures and others with music.
Very often with family...(look for the child!).
As the end of confinement approached, I wanted to establish closer contact with my neighbors.
But how?
I came up with the idea of making a sign with my phone number on it to encourage my neighbors to send me a message.
And it worked!
I was able to establish contact with this smiling couple and their son, a student of French literature who was preparing his Master's thesis, which he passed with flying colors!
... with the neighbor who took my picture and his daughter.
...and with this charming, harmonious family.
...and with this smiling student.
...and with a neighbor who has lived in Mexico and with whom we can communicate in Spanish
I hope to make contact with this young couple soon.
And I even exchanged glances with a young couple who applauded as they walked along!
What beautiful scenes, full of emotion. Paradoxically, confinement has enabled me to widen my circle of acquaintances. So many aperitifs await me... one day!
I'm going to miss that 8 p.m. moment of communion for a long time.
Deconfinement has arrived! The Voltaire gets under way.
